Nagoya: H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Board Member of the Qatar Olympic Committee, met today with Qatari female athletes competing at the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026) during her visit to Qatar House in Nagoya.
The gathering brought together members of Qatar’s national teams in volleyball, shooting, table tennis, and 3x3 basketball. Sheikha Hind discussed their experiences in Japan, their preparations for the Games, and their ambitions for the competitions ahead.

She praised the athletes’ commitment and dedication, encouraging them to stay focused and deliver their best as they represent Qatar on the continental stage. She also underscored the steady progress of women’s sports in Qatar and the important role Qatari female athletes play in inspiring the next generation.
The athletes expressed their appreciation for her support and interest, reaffirming their determination to perform strongly and help elevate Qatar’s standing at the Games.
Qatar is fielding a 243-athlete delegation at this year’s Asian Games, 184 men and 59 women, competing across 26 sports.
